The Raab Holocaust Education Center conducts national conferences twice a year-at Hanukkah and in the summer-serving teachers countrywide. The classes are offered in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the ministry's history division.

At the conferences teachers are introduced to new research studies and unique teaching methods. Future conferences planned will address the family in the Holocaust and local aspects of the Holocaust. These conferences offer teachers an opportunity to learn about the study units developed by the Raab Center. Demand for them is tremendous.

Each conference presents a central topic that is explored from various perspectives. All the conferences include workshops, critical viewing of testimony films, and an introduction to models of instruction.

The topics addressed include:

Jewish Life between World War I and II

The Ghetto: A Glimpse Inside

Rescue Efforts during the Holocaust

The Survivors (Sh'erit ha-P'letah)

Holocaust Education: Multidisciplinary Aspects

"Hidden Children"
